The best way to plan your day is make a
list of things you want to accomplish, making the list the night before and
previewing it just before you go to bed.

Make appointments with yourself to write.
If you're unable to do that due to family, work or other constrictions, carry
works-in-progress with you and learn to work in five, ten, twenty minute
increments. You can actually edit several pages in five minutes.

Don't let time control you. Instead, you
control your time. Prioritize, re-evaluate what you're already doing, versus
what you *want* to be doing. There's always some little place you can make an
adjustment.

And most important ... what works for me,
won't work for you. When you do find what works for you, make it a daily habit
and you'll be amazed at the time you can find.
